Computer Vision Syndrome

Many people develop vision complaints as computer use increases in the workplace and at home. These complaints include headaches, blurred vision, double vision, burning, stinging eyes, excessive tearing and eye fatigue. If you experience any of these symptoms when on the computer you may have Computer Vision Syndrome.

Special lenses designed for computer and near distances help keep vision in the workstation clear when standard multifocal or progressive lenses are not effective. One such lens, the Varilux Interview, allows for intermediate vision when looking straight ahead and near when looking downward. The lens does not have any distance vision. The AO Technica is like the Interview but does have a small distance portion above eye level. This does require a deep vertical lens measurement uncommon in today's fashion frames.
